How does SSL-Explorer work?

SSL-Explorer is an application that provides access to services and applications using familiar web technologies such as Applets, SSL and HTTP. Access control is implemented either through a built-in user database or Active Directory authentication in Windows domain environment. File access control is also governed in these environments through standard NTFS permissions.

SSL-Explorer makes extensive use of port forwarding to transfer data between applications on the client and the internal corporate network via the SSL port 443. This powerful feature set allows secure remote access to intranet web sites, file resources and other sensitive data in a form that may be accessed by any standard web browser.
