Hi all - I am writing this in a hope that it may help save someone else's hair from being pulled out.

I have SSL explorer installed, it has been running fine for a month or so.

I began having troubles getting the SSL explorer to start after a reboot.

When I browsed to https://127.0.0.1 I would get an "unexpected error" as below.

or a message saying "a web server is running on port 443".

I installed, reinstalled. I even did a restore point on the computer. Still got the error "a web server other than SSL explorer is already running on port 443".

When I ran the SSL install Wizard and chose which interface to bind to I also go the error " a web server other than SSL Explorer is already running on port 443"

I ran this utility and it showed that Skype was binding to port 443 on reboot.

I closed Skype it stopped port 0.0.0.0:443 listening

I then checked the Services.msc SSL Explorer was stopped.

I started the service and all was fine.

Here is where to stop Skype listening to port 443.

Hope this helps someone else.
