June 2006 - SSL-Explorer: Community Edition released - This is by far the largest release in the history of SSL-Explorer, introducing a whole range of new software features and enhancements including a full policy-based permissions framework and a much simplified installation process along with upgrades to network places that now provide access to local, Windows shares and FTP filesystems.

Usability enhancements include a redesigned and improved GUI that provides a separation of the management and user interfaces. A number of common workflows within the software have also now been incorporated into easy-to-use wizard-style interfaces to simplify administration. Web forwarding support has been considerably improved with this release and now includes FORM-based authentication. Lastly, the projects documentation has been totally rewritten for this rebranded Community Edition of SSL-Explorer.

January 2006 - SSL-Explorer 0.1.15 released - This release focuses on enhancements to the reverse proxy feature with the inclusion of a new host header field to support multiple virtual hosts on intranet web servers. Transparent authentication using an NTLM proxy is also now supported in the reverse proxy. Wake-on-LAN has been implemented in this release and a range of bug fixes and minor improvements are also included.

November 2005 - SSL-Explorer 0.1.14 released - Release 0.1.14 introduces a new remote forwarding feature which now brings full SSL tunneling support to SSL-Explorer. A series of improvements were also made to the secure proxy web forwarding feature for a more robust intranet browsing experience. Lastly, a number of minor bug-fixes were included with this release.

October 2005 - SSL-Explorer Xtra 1.3 released - Xtra now contains a virtual keyboard for password entry without using the keyboard to prevent against keylogging attacks. SMS authentication has also been introduced. This method allows you to authenticate users by sending a One-Time-Password to their cellphone or other mobile device.

September 2005 - SSL-Explorer 0.1.13 released - With release 0.1.13 of SSL-Explorer, 3SP has introduced a new reverse proxy feature that provides a far more robust web forwarding facility. This feature is currently touted by a number of tier-one vendors as a solution for the provision of intranet access to remote VPN users. As a welcome byproduct of the reverse proxy feature, SSL-Explorer now fully supports the enhanced ActiveX user interface of Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003. An extensive series of bug fixes have also been implemented along with improved proxy support and a much simplified Active Directory configuration process.

September 2005 - SSL-Explorer Xtra 1.2 released - LDAP and SSL client certificate are added to the list of authentication methods and directories with this release of SSL-Explorer Xtra. Also included is an experimental SSH-based shell management console.

July 2005 - SSL-Explorer 0.1.12 released - This release of SSL-Explorer contains several new features mainly concerning authentication methods. A new 'security questions' module has been introduced that may be prompted in addition to regular password entry. Authentication schemes may also now be defined that allow the administrator to configure authentication policies to suit their environment. This allows the user to select from a range of defined authentication schemes when logging in. A number of usability enhancements have also been introduced; the most notable of which being the dynamic popup menu. Lastly, the VPN client may now be started from any page in SSL-Explorer.

June 2005 - SSL-Explorer Xtra 1.1 released - The second release of SSL-Explorer Xtra introduces a range of new authentication features including PIN, Public Key and support for authenticating users directly off a standard USB key drive.
